This is a very diverse group for all people that identify as long term survivors of HIV/AIDS. Just for reference, officially for policy making and to be able to get resources and services, an HIV LONG TERM SURVIVOR is someone who got infected before HAART – this is the acronym for “highly active antiretroviral therapy- the cocktail”; but for this group, whoever self identify as a LONG TERM SURVIVOR is welcome. Most of us have been HIV positive 20 years or longer, in my case, I’ve been HIV positive for 36 years, but we even have some people who are HIV negative, but who have seen their friends and lovers died and they feel they belong to here. We have also some others who need this family for guidance, so, if you don’t like this philosophy of inclusiveness, you might not belong. We are open to any gender, race and sexual preference and we have no affiliation with any agency or organization.
